Crochet Pattern: Lil’ Bunny Bookmark


Looking for a quick crochet project? This quick and easy crochet bunny bookmark will make a really nice gift for book lovers. A cute little gift yet an amazing idea to use up your scrap yarn. Are you ready? Let’s begin.

Materials:
- Yarn – 8Ply Acrylic Yarn (Or you can use any scrap yarn)
- Crochet Hook - Size 3.0mm and 2.5mm.
- Yarn Needle or Normal Needle
- White Thread or Yarn.
- Small amount of Fiberfill
- 2 black beads for the Eyes
- Stitch Marker or Safety Pin
- Pink Highlighter/ Fabric Marker
Note:
- Pattern for Strap works in rows.
- Patterns for Head and Ears work in continuous rounds.(instead of joined rounds)
Abbreviation:
- MR - Magic Ring
- sc - Single Crochet
- 2 sc in next sc - Increase
- dec 1 – Decrease
- Ch- Chain
- * * - Repeat Step
- F/O - Fasten Off
Head:
Using 3.0mm hook,
Rnd 1: MR, sc 6 in MR. (6)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each stitch around. (12)
Rnd 3: *sc 1, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (18)
Rnd 4-6: sc around. (18)
Rnd 7: *dec 1, sc 1*, repeat around. (12)
Start stuffing with fiberfill.
Rnd 8: *dec 1*, repeat around. (6)
Add on fiberfill to stuff the entire head.
F/O, leave a long end and sew up the hole.
Ears: (make 2)
Using 2.5mm hook,
Rnd 1: MR, sc 4 in MR. (4)
Rnd 2: *sc 1, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (6)
Rnd 3-5: sc around. (6)
F/O and leave long end to sew Ears to Head.
Strap:
Using 3.0mm hook,
Ch 41. sc across starting from 2nd ch from hook. (40)
F/O and tie a knot at the end.
Note: If you want your bookmark strap to be longer, just increase the number of ch. Vice versa.
Assembling: (Refer to picture)
- Sew the Bunny Ears to Top of Bunny Head.
- Sew on the black beads (as eyes) on Bunny Head.
- Use white thread / Yarn to sew the Bunny Head to Strap.
- Use Pink marker to add on rosy cheeks and a pink bunny ears.
